World Rivers Day
The Kanaka Education and Environmental Partnership Society and Metro Vancouver Parks will be hosting a World Rivers Day event Sunday, September 22nd from 11AM to 3PM at Kanaka Creek Regional Park – Riverfront. There will be interactive stewardship displays, and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about all things Kanaka, and how you can become involved. There will also be guided voyageur canoe tours to the Fraser River in this history rich area. Admission is free to this family event. To reach Riverfront, travel east of the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Kanaka Way, and then turn south on River Road. From the east, access River Road by proceeding south on 240th Street from Lougheed Highway.
