Horseshoe Creek – the little known Rock Star
During the epic flood of November 2021, Kanaka tributary Horseshoe Creek opened its doors to coho salmon seeking a safe haven to spawn in. These little tributaries are rock stars!
Kanaka Creek Regional Park Interpretive Art Mural Project
KEEPS and Metro Vancouver Regional Parks have kicked off the first component of this exciting project, which also involves the Pacific Parklands Foundation, local First Nations, and the City of Maple Ridge. We begin with fall field trips to the location for classes that will participate in Spring 2022.
108 Loop Project
A $5,200 grant from the George Ross Legacy fund enabled us to restore an area in Kanaka Creek Regional Park that had been subject to heavy recreational impacts.
