Fall Spencer Creek Monitoring Underway

The stream monitoring with Samuel Robertson School that commenced in 2006 resumed in September for a thirteenth season. Early October readings included creek temperatures of 10 degrees, pH 7.2, and turbidity 0. As always, the student-adopted forest of Albion Park made for a great venue as Spencer Creek continued to perform at a high level. The students have noted with concerned interest the significant loss of western hemlock in the park, a result of the summer droughts we have been experiencing. Climate change is getting real.
