St. Patrick’s Day with the canines and kitties at the Stewardship Center, on an epic 22 degree March day that saw 105 visitors.

A polar outbreak has arrived at Kanaka. We were with our students to welcome it. Polar OutbreakĀ This scenario has played out since time immortal.
The fish fence is the Rocky Balboa of infrastructure, as it once again survived an extreme flow event; this time it was December 4th, as eagles and a coopers hawk look on.
It was delightful to chat about how the Kanaka Creek watershed and its inhabitants shift into winter.
The big attendance of Return of the Salmon is a memory as the quieter but every bit as beautiful beat goes on at the fish fence while we head towards winter.
